Change of Address

We have received the paperwork from NVC, and my permanent address in the states has changed.

Who do I contact, USCIS or NVC with the change of address? Is there a fast way or better way to do it?

Thanks,

Erin

p.s. When filling out the DS-230 Part II, is my fiance (german citizen) considered the petitioner or me - the US Citizen.

I wasn't sure if he was now 'petitioning' for himself, of if I was still the petitioner.

We were in a similar situation-I moved while my husband's case was at the NVC. I just emailed the NVC with an updated address and it was no problem. I didn't inform USCIS.

Just contact NVC by emailing. They should take care of it. There is no need to contact USCIS. As the US Citizen, you are the petitioner throughout the process. He is the beneficiary and visa applicant.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview
