how's everybody? i hope you find something to distract you too :D

I just read my signature! 4 days and a few hours!! That's what I'm doing right now. After that, I have no idea how I'll distract myself. Probably launch into wedding planning mode. :) We're planning a civil ceremony right after he gets the visa, then we'll have a big wedding ceremony in May 2009.

Someone sent me a website one time where you could find out how many other people in the US have your name (I can't find the URL right now of course!). There were like 29 of my name...it also said that once I'm married I'll be the only person in the US with my name...hopefully that means his name is uncommon in Canada, too! :D

Hmmm... I wonder how much people will have the exact name as I do.. I know theres some people with my last name in the states but the combination as I have it with first and last names, I doubt there is anyone with it hehe.. I believe in my own country, and it is a typical Dutch name, there is only 4 or 5 people with my name as first and last name lol.

Funny, yet sad, part about my name is that it is so hard for people to pronounce right... Try for yourself 'jeroen'... I believe phonetic spelled would be something like 'jah-roohn' or something lol.. oh wellz

and I'll be really excited to see you January folks start getting approved! :goofy:

I think by this time in April we will have already begun seeing January filers getting approvals, and in May we'll see a bunch. I hope we're all cleared before memorial day, although I know there will be some of us left behind to June and July :(

Let's hope CSC gets their act together and most of us get approved. Hopefully we all have very unique names! Ooh yes I sure hope we are all cleared by memorial day too that would rock!!! I think my mans name is unique at least to this area.....

Wouldn't that be wonderful! Dennis is planning a visit here the first week of July, but I'm really hoping that he won't be able to make it because he'll be at his interview! That's really, really optimistic of me...but a girl can hope! :)

I don't know when will memorial day in the US be but I am hoping to see January CSC filers getting approval this month and then just before April ends February CSC filer approval would pop out.

The USCIS says they are processing files for Sept. 9 and I read somewhere that they always give a leeway of 6 months from the actual dates being processed and the processing date they post on their site. If that is the case then they are supposed to be working on some March cases already.

There's probably more december CSC filers who got approved already on Igor's list, they're just not active and has not updated their timelines... Whatever, I am positive there will be floods of January CSC approvals before the month ends.

Good luck to all of you and I am keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers.hug2a.gif

I've not heard that there's a 6 month leeway. In fact, it runs counter to what USCIS have said in the past, so I'm not sure I would trust it. The USCIS published "processing files for" date is the date of the oldest files they are currently processing. So it's really not an accurate date if you're looking at what files they're currently working on. The only real importance of this date is that if your case file is older than that date, then your congressperson will intervene on your behalf to see what the holdup is.

The best way to find out what month USCIS really are working on is to look at either Igor's stats or the VJ timeline stats. This will give a more informed view of where they really are. Remember, however, that even though case files are processed in the order they're received, they're not going to be completed or even worked on in the order they're received. The case worker your box ends up with might be on vacation for a few days, or out sick, or they might just be a slower worker. But the VJ stats and Igor's lists should give you a decent ballpark idea.

Thanks Mox you are right and well I am just staying optimistic that I will see my man enter this country this summer! Even late August would be ok by me!

I'm trying to tell myself, and I tell anyone who asks, that I'm hoping for August, but planning on September. September would be a really nice time of the year for him to move, it's the nicest month of the year in Utah! We'll be driving (towing a trailer) from Winnipeg to SLC (about 22 hours), so I really want to be able to get him moved before snow starts falling.

well, i was reviewing the timelines of couples here in VJ and i found out that majority of the applicant's span of time from wen they got their NOA1 til theyve received their NOA2 is up to 3-4 mos..so january filers, we'll expect approvals coming this month til mid may! wwoohoo!

then to add up...still, based on what i observed frm VJers timelines..the span of time frm when they receive their NOA2 til they get an approval from their embassy interview is just for month. so us, january filers are expecting to be interviewed at the embassy on JulyAugust-ish..

and hopefully fly to the U.S. right after our approval!!!!!!!! :star:

WOW!!! I've never been to boracay, wish I could.. but Davao also boast of beautiful beaches, specially in Mati, Davao Oriental and in Samal Island and the best thing with our beaches here is that, most are not yet commercialized.

Are you a pre-school teacher Gabriela? I am also a licensed teacher (but I have never taught) and even took up masters in special education... I love kids, especially the special kids but I have no patience for the paper works.... :(

OPPSS, sorry for hijacking the thread :innocent:
