now, I am preparing myself for the interview. I have some questions.

What kinds of questions are common? I know that most popular ones are like

when and where did you meet your fiance?

how long do you know him or her?

well, did you get any tricky questions? if couples meet online, is it a problematic?

I met my fiance at high school while I was an exchange student. It was back in 2000. So almost 7 and half years ago. and we went to the same college. actually my peer group members went to the college and suggested me to go to the same college, so I did not have to feel so lonely.

At that time, we decided to date seriously. After the exchange program, I went back Japan until I started college for 9 months, but he kept approaching me. I waited until I actually saw him face to face and spent some time. Soon after, I accepted him completely.

At the interview, a person at the embassy might ask me why we had been together so long and did not marry. do you think so?

I am thinking about bring my year book and prove that I was at the same high school with him. And also I will say I was a student and could not marry because my purpose was to get education. Not marry.

I sent you a personal message to answer the question you asked me, but in response to this post, you don't need to take your yearbook. My husband and I dated 12 1/2 years before we married. I lived in Japan for 15 years and then moved back to the states about 4 years ago. There is a larger than usual age difference between us, but that wasn't an issue for the interview. It wasn't a big deal. They asked him when I divorced my first husband and how we met and a few simple questions that I sent you in the personal message. They aren't there to trick you, just to verify your relationship. Don't worry, you'll be fine
