Has anyone else recently married in Ontario and not recieved their marriage certificate back in the mail from Thunder Bay?? My fiance and I married at the end of January and sent the license complete with signatures and along with a letter from a lawyer saying that we needed the certificate back fast as it was for immigration purposes. Well... it's now almost April and we still don't have are certificate and we need it to file the I-130. Is anyone else experiencing this delay? Can anyone shed any light on the situation? Thanks!

Call your MPP's office and have them get on it for you. Ontario is notoriously slow at issuing marriage and birth certificates. The MPPs office staff have special contacts they can use to help you out.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I had the same p[roblem so i filed with the part that you have with the signatures on it and then they are going to send you a request for evidenc after they start the process which at least it will be in processing. By then i had the part from the province to send in and sent it in and was back on scedule within a week. Hope that helps a little!
