I have been selling on eBay for the last 6 years and you'd think I have seen everything but I was just flabbergasted by the email I just received from a bidder - I will copy it in its entirety:

"Good morning:

The skirt looks beautiful & at such a reasonable price. It's just what I've been searching for. I usually view a sellers site before bidding, but was overtaken with excitement that I had finally located the skirt for which I'd searching. I'm so happy to have won the bid & wanted to purchase other items & combineshipping. I'm explaining the series of events in order to paint a picture for you. Perhaps my explanation of why I can not move forward with the completion of this transaction. To my disappointment I found that you also sell items related to spirituality. That in it self is not an issue for probably most people, but it does create on for me. There's not enough space for me to give a thorogh explanation, but the 'bottom-line' is that because of my Christian conscience I will not be able to complete this transaction. I sincerely apologize & recognize that the fault completely lies with me. "

#######?????!!!! I could think of soooooo many choice replies but I think I will leave neutral feedback and say simply that she refuses to pay because of here religious beliefs. She lives in SF of all places, must be difficult for her 'Christian conscience'. I wonder if she leaves a store if she sees gay people working there???

eBay's TOS does not recognize this as a valid reason to not fulfill her side of the contract. She must pay you or risk being suspended. File an Unpaid item claim with eBay.

WHAT?!!! :o Are you allowed to pull your bid based on religious beliefs? I'd say "Now I've heard everything, but somehow I don't think I have."

She's a God Warrior:

Oh good Lord. Did you see that show? That woman has issues.

Oh nice one, Kazan. Nothing like a bit of justice to make one smile. :)

That is exactly what I am going to do so at least I will get my Final Value Fee back - she will also get an unpaid item strike against her account.

I am also tempted to leave a neutral feedback(I am soooo tempted to neg her but it may backfire) and write 'Bidder refuses to pay because of her religious beliefs' - cold truth but it makes her look like the ignorant @sshat she is.

I's write to her and say that due to your religious beliefs I am forced to file an unpaid item claim with eBay. Due to my personal beliefs I must tell you that I think you're a nutbag.

Seriously . . . . that's pretty stupid. And I would leave her negative feedback. Any intelligent future buyer will look at the feedback, and see why you left it. They're not going to stop buying from you because of one neg. If anything else that situation will encourage them to shop.

Who's the 'new face of crazy' lady in the pic?

BTW Pattu - that stinks. If it's Ebay policy that she can't refuse to pay for her stated reasons, then I like cattatude's response to your bidder, except I'd change the words 'religious beliefs' to 'legal obligation'.

I believe she was on one of those "wife swapping" shows. Some crazy, totally in too deep, believe my way or you're going to Hell, bible thumpers.
