At the moment I am engaged to my US fiance. We are trying to decide what to do, have read alot of the posts, the guides and what not. But I am just wondering what you guys thought or have heard about the processes, which is easier to file. I know that both have their pro's and cons, and everyones case is different but just looking for an idea.

Thanx

Where do you want to get married? That's the first question.

i agree..the location is the key

We can get married anywhere, that is why I was asking which process would be better because we could fit in with whichever option would be better, or quicker or what not

OK - When I did the same research - K1 or K3 - I realized that roughly both the K1 and K3 took about 3 to 5 months but for the K3 you have to first get married - which could take a few months of planning etc. and then and only then you can apply for K3 - so the K1 beats K3 by the time it takes to just get married and then file (you will need the marriage certoificate for it.) For K1 you can file at any moment with the G325a's and pictures and I129f. So you can draw your own conclusions from my experience - and others are right - if you have to get married in one place or other then you can base it on the need for marriage first and where it takes place. Good Luck
