My wife is with me in the USA as a result of a K-1 Visa entry.

We have not applied for Adjustment of Status yet because we've been busy buying a home and moving a little further south due to a job transfer.

Now that we have moved, do we need to inform anyone of our change of address if we haven't yet filed for AOS?

If so, which Change of Address forms do we need to fill out, for who, and to where do we send them?

Any advice would be much appreciated, as I am aware former rules I read stated that we had 10 days to let them know about a change in address.

Thanks in advance!

Filing change of address is form AR-11, you can print this form from the website of USCIS, as well the address where to send that form.

even if you file for change of address we've seen sooooo many couples that have had a loooot of problems with this. For example, green cards sent to the old address even though they have filed for a change of address. I hope it wont b your case but b prepared in case your green card is sent to the old address and it is returned to immigration.

Yep I believe you should notify USCIS within 10 days of your moving. If you go directly to their website they should have a link to the forms you will need under 'change of address'. How long ago did you get married? I would suggest you apply for AOS IMMEDIATELY now you are in your new place of residence as I know some on this site did not apply for AOS until a month or so later and they got slapped with a denial and had to resend their AOS packet. Explain the circumstances including letter of evidence of the job transfer also and you should be fine. I hope everything works out and the best of luck!!

The US citizen sponsor spouse should also send in the I-865 address change notice. Yes, even though you haven't done the I-864 sponsorship affidavit of support yet!

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE ME OR EMAIL ME. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT CURRENT US IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES!!!!!

We got married the day we arrived to the US on January 17th, 2008.

Unfortunately, we could not invest any time into applying for adjustment of status due to being transferred to Mobile within one week of my arrival home from the Philippines from a need in our southern regional office.

We lived here for almost 2 months in hotels until our home closed last week and we officially moved in.

Where do I send the change of addresses to since we haven't filed Adjustment of Status yet?

Also, why would we get denied by not submitting AOS immediately? I thought we could apply for that anytime as long as we followed the rules of getting married within 90 days of arriving to the US on K1?

Please inform me of my "ut oh's", because if we're in a misinformed stage at this point, we need to make a very quick correction ASAP.

You're not going to get denied for not filing for AOS immediately. The only time constraint is that you must get married within 90 days. After the 90 days are up you're "out-of-status" until you file, but USCIS isn't too concerned about that, many people don't file AOS immediately.

umm? you might want to elaborate on this, just to be sure... unless I'm being monumentally thick there's no EAD before AOS unless you want a 90 day EAD... which visa are you adjusting from?

I just followed the online steps..

worked fine for me...

Thats all I did. The EAD card came to my new address, AP went to my old address - despite the AP forms inside the envelope having the new address on. (the EAD had a window envelope, the AP had a printed sticker on the outside of the envelope. Makes me wonder if some clerk didn't print the sticker from the wrong address field)

Luckily my old address is my ma-in-law's address, so apart from her finding out before me, no harm done :)
