hello evryone my bf will coming in phils to meet me in person by june and maybe getting married if things work out with our meeting in person what really confuses me when i read some post from here is about when u file for a 1-130 i am thinking that is all we need to file?but i read a post in here that we need to file as follows to 1-130 for 1-129f or CR-I to K-3 and IR-I i would like to ask anyone in here why we need to file also the 1-129f or CR-I or IR-1 can u explain the different of the 2 i mention what i am thinking we only need to file the 1-130 so one more thing i ask also do we have to pay separate payments of filling the 1-130 then the 1-129?ohhhh my fellow members hope u can reply and enlightened my mind this time i am so innocent about this thing hope u can help me...what i am familiar is the fiance visa dont have any idea about the spousal visa and would like to know about the timeline for spousal visa....thanks for all your advice and replies in advance...god bless u

K1 -visa:Timeline

6/26/08:resent the 1-129f package to VSC

8/21/08:received NOA1 in the mail,yeyeyeh i was relief after the long period of waiting

1/28/09:NOA2 received ...in 161 days from NOA1

2/10/09:received appointment letter from USEM

3/11 - 12 : MEDICAL -- passed

3/30/09: INTERVIEW -- APPROVED

4/02/09:VISA deliver at home at 2:45 pm

5/28/09:SSN arrived after less than 1 week from filling.

6/01/09:Wedding day.[/color]

07/08/09:sent the 1-485 forms for adjustment of status package to chicago (USPS)..Day 1

07/10/09:arrived USCIS,chicago...(when i checked the USPS post office)...Day 3

07/12/09:check cashed...Day 5

07/15/09:noa1 date for (AOS,AED,AP)i thanks god for everything...(date arrived,07/20/09)...Day 10

08/12/09:calling USCIS to check the bio apt...Day 35

08/25/09:bio notice date issued...Day 48

08/29/09:bio notice received.(thank u so much mama mary...)...Day 52

09/04/09:AP arrived in the mail (date issued 08/27/09)

09/09/09:biometrics done...

09/17/09:EAD = card arrived today...so happy...

10/03/09:interview notice received

11/05/09:AOS -- interview approved (thank u mama mary)...

11/16/09: GREEN CARD arrived today...

Once you decide whether you are marrying in the PI or the USA and when, you decide which visa is correct for you. Start by studying the guides here. Just click on the word "Guides" at the top of any page. Most of the "filing" will be done by the US Citizen, so have him study the guides too.

Your american fiance can file for fiance visa (k1) and thats form I-12F ( which will take about 3-6 months and then marry here in the US before the 90 day period given ) or if you decide to marry in the Phils ( same as my husband and I ) then he files for k3 ( includes form I-130 and I-12f, for faster processing ) and then file for AOS when you're already here in the US with him. the k3 takes about 7-12 months.. just be sure you have all the documents when they ask it from you. March '05 - met George online thru common friend

March '06 - He went to visit me in the PI first time

May '06 - He came back for the family reunion and proposed for marriage

Nov. '06 - came back to prepare for our wedding

Dec 16, '06 - Wedding Day!

took at least 6 or 7 months (as i remember) for the K3 and was approved!

Nov '07 - I arrived in the US

together again with my gwapo, lol

April 9 - mailed in AOS package

April 13 - NOA for EAD and AOS

April 22 - Biometrics Appointment and will be on May 7 in Jamaica

May 7 - Biometrics done!

May 14 - Got an RFE dated may 9 - joint sponsor :-(

June 5 - they received our reply to the RFE

June 10 - EAD card production ordered, YAYYYYY Thank u, God!

June 21 - EAD card received in mail.

...and the waiting continues for the interview date...... will update later

so i got my interview date, and guess when??

Sept 10 - yaayyyy and its my hubby's Birthday! Approval would be a GREAT bday gift.

Sept 10 - got APPROVED! Indeed its a GREAT Birthday gift! " Card production Ordered" Yayyy

Sept 18 - Welcome Letter received!

Sept 19 - Green Card in hand!
