Hello I am new to this forum and have a few questions. My fiance got her visa appointment set for june 29th. She is set up for her physical on the 22nd of june. This is faster than I had anticipated. I should add a timeline for my k-1 petition process. I submitted the paperwork last december. Well here is the problem. A few weeks back my fiance moved. The place she was living is no longer there. I had sent a change of address to NVC, but I guess it didn't get forwarded to manila in time. Yesterday I got the visa appointment letter. It states packet 4 was mailed to my fiance well she will never get it. SO what now? Call the embassy and have them send it to saint lukes or should I have them send it to her new address? As always the government is not much help. If anyone has the numbers i need to call please let me know. I have done a search but could not come up with anything. I am sure the info is there I just could not find it. Thanks for the help.

First thing you might wanna do is update your timeline so we know where you stand at. :) Use the link on my signature to see how you update your timeline.

You should probably have your fiance call the Embassy and inform the address change and that they need to send packet 4 again to the new address.

Can't she have the person living where she used to live send her the packet?

Yes, call the embassy and get the new address entered. There are a couple of forms in the packet, the interview letter and the form to pay for the interview. I don't think she can get into the embassy without the interview letter. Try calling this number: (632) 528-6300 Once you get into the system select the option for knowing the extension you want. When it asks for the extension enter 5184 or 5185. If the number is busy just re-enter it. The lady at 5184 was so very helpful for us when we went through the process. I would normally call around 8:00am Manila time and would usually get right through. Good luck

Luis&Laura,

We know where they stand - it's right there in the first line of his post.

Your other suggestion is a good one.

Hey thanks for all the replies......Luis&Laura it would be a lot easier if she could go to her old address and pick up the packet there. The problem is the old owner sold the place and it has been torn down for redevelopment so that is not possible. I will be giving the embassy a call to get this straightened out. Once again I would like to thank you all for your help. I will keep you all posted on the results.
