Wolves.

We hunt them almost to extinction, then rescue them from the brink. Now that they're no longer on the endangered list, we go back out and hunt them again, because there are too many and they are a danger to livestock. And it's no longer a matter of if, it's going to happen.

How many of the ranchers are going to adhere to the rules about wolves actually threatening their livestock. "Well they were in the neighbourhood, so they were a threat" could mean within 50 miles in Montana. It's just a licence to hunt them down and kill them without fear of repercussions. So how long will it be before wolves are endangered once more?

Makes me sad.

Yes same thing is happening in my state Alaska. There was a pack of wolves that where coming up to peoples homes and killing thier dogs that were tied up outside. Then there was a report of a wolve following some kids walking back home from school. The community got together and decided too kill any wolves they seen. They never did get any of them.

Couple years ago there where a couple of older cubs that came to Fairbanks. All the tourist where taking pics of them on side of the road. It was in the paper. It only took about 2 days for some jerk to kill them off.

no bag limit either, just bait the traps with chit and they'll come running
