I am new to this site but have been reading your questions for some time. I finally took the time to sign up. Here goes.

I filed an I 130 petition for my husband on June 12,2007 along with the I 485 and I 765. We received a receipt for all three, he did his biometrics On July 10, 2007. On October 18, 2007 we received a letter stating he was going to receive an appointment from ICE because he had not registered with NSEARS. We had no idea what this was. We waited. He received and appointment for November 6. Two days later we received another letter saying they cancelled this appointment and they would give us further notice of the rescheduled date. On December 6th I called the USCIS. They said that if they were me they would make an appointment with INFO PASS. So, I did. We went on December 21st. We took the letters and explained to the officer what had taken place. He said he would send an e-mail to ICE questioning the reasons behind the letters. We left. Two days letter we received an e-mail notice saying his I 765 had been approved. One week later we received his work permit card.

My confusion lies in the fact that here we are the end of March, way past the processing dates of the I 130 and we again have no notices of approval or denial.

Do I need to call again and make another appointment with INFO PASS? Should I leave good enough alone and not provoke ICE? What is the right call to make on this.

This situation has put such a strain on my health. I really need some help figuring out what I should do. Has anyone heard of why such a hold up?

Thanks.

K3 is a visa. You aren't in a visa process. You're adjusting status. Hopefully somebody will be along to move this to the correct forum soon. It sounds to me like the logjam is broken and your case is back in the processing line but another infopass appointment couldn't hurt if it's not too inconvenient. The nearest office to me is 150 miles, so convenience does vary quite a bit.
