Hey,

Just thought i would post a review of my medical experience at Knightsbridge Office. I had it today at 10.50.

I was nervous all morning, so decided to leave earlier. Living in Oxford, i'm lucky to have a coach that stops near Oxford Street, so the doc's office not too far from there. I found the place easily.

They took my papers, told me to wait, then i filled in some questionaire and had to wait again. So i sat there all nervous ( don't even know why so nervous, i guess the visa process makes u freak out about anything) reading 2 months old Cosmopolitan. The nurse called me and i got even more nervous.

At first, she said that i've done great with vaccinations, but i didn't even need some of them, because of age. I wish i knew that before i paid 130 pounds to have 3 shots in one day. Oh well, what's done is done... I just wish the embassy didn't confuse people with all the vaccinations.

Then i waited again and later was called into X-ray room, answered couple of questions and was told to take all top clothes off and put that funny robe on. The guy put me close to some machine, hands behind my back in some weird position and gave me something to hold, still dunno what it was. The whole experience was weird anyway.

After that i had to walk to another room with my bra and bag in my hand, wearing jeans and a bathrobe and wait there. Thank God, there were no other people waiting. :)

Then the doctor called me, asked me some questions, wrote something down and told that we would begin my exam. She sounded a bit like she was giving orders in the army. :D I had to stand still and open my robe, she looked at the top part, then quck look at the bottom part, i guess to make sure that i'm a girl there too. :) Checked my ears, throat, stomach, heart, lungs. Then i had to lay down and stay still while she stuck a long needle into my vein. Ouch! Boom, boom and it was done. She said i seemed to be fine and the exam was over, dunno why i was so nervous. It was quick and not too painful. I paid 170 pounds and they said the results would be sent to the embassy within 4 days.

All people were nice, the nurse explained everything about vaccinations and was very helpful. The X-ray guy was a bit of a joker too. And the doctor was talking to me all the time, askin about the wedding and stuff, i guess it made me less nervous. It was as pleasant experience as medical can be. No negative feelings

Just waiting for an interview date.

Good luck to everyone with medical appointments coming soon :)

:( I don't think I've seen that one before in medical posts.

Still, thanks for the write up!

No worries. I just had a vaccination marathon this week, so needles aren't my friends now. :) It was just their normal blood test, she just made me worry when she said "Stay still, don't move at all". I was like damn, make sure u poke that needle in the right place :) I didn't even breathe. :)
