Do you know if the Embassies/Consulates require birth/marriage certificates to be less than a certain age? I mean is there an "expiration date" for them, so that if you were waiting for a while before getting the USCIS approval, do you have to request new ones? Or are they not that picky?

Never heard of any age limits on translations. As long as you have original certified translations.

There is however age limits on original police certificates. These are usually anywhere from 90 days to a year. Really depends on country and embassy requirements. Definitely, try and get the current resident city (police cert) last and as near interview date as possible. Up to 30 days is normally adequate and won’t raise any questions.

The heart can endure so very much, but every moment apart still feels like an eternity.

We will be patient and we will endure, because the love we received is in answer to our dreams.

I didn't mean age limits on the translations, but on the documents that are translated, such as marriage and birth certificates. It is probably safest to just contact the Consulate and ask them directly, since that may vary.

Yeah Congrads to you...If you go to the NVC site they have a check list of things you will need. But on this site the have the forms like the Ds-230 1&2 look this over because you will need info from your honey..And the biggest one on this form for me was,The names of the schools Years started and finished. Then look over the I-864 form.these three forms you will need after you pay the fee for the Affidavit of support fee which is $70.Also do you know where the interview will take place. That has alot to do with what you will need.....
