I recently called USCIS to request an expedite on my I-129F. They said they'd forward my request to CSC, and then CSC would contact me for further instructions. about 5 days later I got the following email from CSC.

Dear XXXX

On /2008 you, or the designated representative shown below, contacted us about your case. Some of the key information given to us at that time was the following:

Caller indicated they are:

-- Applicant or Petitioner

Attorney Name:

-- Information not available

Case type:

-- I129F

Filing date:

Receipt #:

Beneficiary (if you filed for someone else):

-- Information not available

Your USCIS Account Number (A-number):

-- Information not available

Type of service requested:

-- Expedite

The status of this service request is:

Your case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action within 30 days of the date of this letter.\

Does this mean they are reviewing my case and will give me a decision on it in 30 days (so they have approved my expedite request?). OR that in 30 days they will have a decision on my request for an expedite? The thing that throws me off is that they say my case is currently under review.....And also at the time of this email I had not turned in any letter or evidence of why I am applying for an expedite...I immediatley did so however after I received this email.

any ideas?

That's really weird. From the wording of "your case is currently under review" instead of "this request is currently under review" makes it sound like they're adjucating your petition & you'll have your noa2 or RFE or whatever the outcome is within 30 days.

The weird thing is that it's CSC and we all know that they don't process cases that fast. If it were VSC I'd think maybe they were working on yours already so no need for the expedite.

The other weird thing is that they don't expedite cases just because you ask them to. It would have to be life or death or something military related and you'd have to have some pretty solid proof. If you did and it is this type of situation they probably ARE processing your case right now. If not, I really don't know what to think of that. I'd have to guess they mean that they are reviewing your request.

3/5/11 sent LOC paperwork

3/9/11 date of NOA

?/?/?? biometrics appointment

That information is in their timeline. ;)

Not that the person who answers the phone has any authority, but did you happen to mention your reasons to expedite when you called? Can't imagine that alone would get it adjuticated but nothing is impossible! In any case, I hope it's good news for you. Good luck in Guangzhou! ;)

I can just see all the CSC filers on the phone right now!

also it does exist a paid expedite for I129 (1000$)
