It depends...what sort of man is he?

I mean my dad has never read a book in his life, refuses to go out to dinner, or to the movies, or to do anything like that. Constantly says he wants to go hunting or fishing but then just doesn't.

I usually for him end up getting standard 'real man' stuff: tools, a new knife, flashlights, car parts, or just gift cards to Lowe's or Home Depot, and he's happy.

Last Christmas we all pitched in and got him a new chainsaw.

If I were a guy in the family I could get him a voucher for a bunch of beer or a massage from a pretty woman or something, probably, but that's all stuff I'm supposed to pretend I don't know about because I'm his innocent daughter.

So what does YOUR dad do? :D

Omg your dad is my dad.

Does he frequently get up to go cook really randomly at like 12 or 1 am a bunch of eggs and sausage before bed?

Get him a freezerfull of meat. Here dudes come around sometimes and sell big packages of...meat, which is actually pretty good xD Seasoned steaks and chicken and stuff.

Does he have a dehydrator? My dad loved his dehydrator for awhile. I mean for making your own jerky or dried fruits and stuff. Of course he only ever made the jerky :P I don't think they're expensive and they are pretty cool.

Yeah, get him a service of some kind. (Get your mind out of the gutter, Charles!)
