What is the expected lifetime of a mattress?

I assume it depends upon the quality of the mattress and other factors, but it's recommended that you change your mattress at least every ten years.

If your back is hurting, definitely consider getting a new one. Just make sure to test them out in person!

Mattresses, if well cared for can last many years, but the fact you are waking up sore could mean you have the wrong type for you. I would give it a little more time though before making the investment. Maybe you are sore for another reason? Pulled something without realizing it at the time? Maybe coming down with a flu?

What is the expected lifetime of a mattress?

Mine is approaching five years and last few days I've been waking up in pain. Time to replace?

depends on the number of stains.

I think, if you have a good mattress, it should last 15 years or more. The older you get, the better the mattress you're going to need. I LOVE my mattress! Some days I will wake up stiff or sore though, and it's sometimes just the way I was twisted during the night when sleeping.

If your mattress needs to be replaced in 5 years, it can't be a good mattress. Look into other reasons before replacing, but if you do replace it, get a good one!

Any suggested methods? I don't want to make a mess, my wife hates cleaning.

Maybe it is time to goto the super absorbent Depends men's diapers!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1
