(Oh my...all these non-people disguised as respected Democrats telling Hillary something she doesn't want to hear)

Sen. Patrick Leahy, who supports Barack Obama, is calling on Sen. Hillary Clinton to quit the presidential race.

As ABC News notes, Leahy told Vermont Public Radio:

There is no way that Senator Clinton is going to win enough delegates to get the nomination. She ought to withdraw and she ought to be backing Senator Obama. Now, obviously that's a decision that only she can make. Frankly I feel that she would have a tremendous career in the Senate.

Leahy added that he's worried that the prolonged Democratic race is playing to John McCain's advantage. "John McCain, who has been making one gaffe after another, is getting a free ride on it because Senator Obama and Senator Clinton have to fight with each other," Leahy said. "I think that her criticism is hurting him more than anything John McCain has said. I think that's unfortunate."

Senator Leahy said the right thing, but I doubt Hillary will drop out soon.

If Senator Leahy cannot appreciate Sen Clinton's entitlement on the nomination, then perhaps he ought to resign from his Senate seat rather than making ignorant statements like this. The nerve of this guy.

LOL...in all fairness though, he said this:

In a statement issued Friday, Leahy, the Senate Judiciary Committee chairman who endorsed Obama in January, said Casey's endorsement of Obama is the latest sign of how the race is going.

"Sen. Clinton has every right, but not a very good reason, to remain a candidate for as long as she wants to. As far as the delegate count and the interests of a Democratic victory in November go, there is not a very good reason for drawing this out. But as I have said before, that is a decision that only she can make," Leahy said.

Okay, so he can keep his seat. As long as he keeps his mouth shut about the entitled one.

Leahy has also been a good friend of the Clintons in the past.

He sure fcuked that up.

I guess not anymore. If one is a friend of Clintons, he/she is better off not endorsing Obama.
