Hmmmmm.....interesting.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Marriage is obsolete.

Mostly, BUT... last night at one of my classes, my professor was talking about the economic realities of a freelance magazine writer. He gave several possibilities for how to stay afloat in the beginning, but then he said he recommended just one method: patronage. Marriage, he said, was the best way to stay afloat. He suggested we find someone who puts on a tie and works 8 or 9 hours every day. Preferably someone who does something with computers, while we go 'explore our options.' I was howling... Rey doesn't wear a tie but otherwise, that sounds like our arrangement  Still, I'll be getting a stable job after this.

Well: 1. Most people in Britain - particularly the younger generations - either don't have a religion or don't have very strong beliefs, so are preferring to co-inhabit rather than marry and 2. There are no tax incentives or other government incentives to marry - apparently you can be financially better off if you and your partner remain unmarried (I've not looked into it myself).

Well.....sounds like you prof suggested you get a sugar daddy - no need to get married for that! :P

Yeah but, marriage ensures that sugar daddy will always be around except after a very expensive and lengthy legal separation!
