Hi... interview date will be on May 16, and we're given the May 9 medical, just an inquiry here, would it be ok to take an early medical like a month before the interview date? ..

salamat :)

Welcome to the May group

Yes you can go for an early medical as long as you have the necessary documents/requirements as stated on packet 4.

Good luck and God bless.

name='ikhing' post='date='Apr 10 2008, 04:24 PM']Yup! Right here... my fiancee recently scheduled her medical exam and visa interview. The embassy said April is FULL already so they gave her May 14 medical exam and May 21 Visa Interview which is PERFECT! - I have the same interview date as your fiancee and my fiance's name is also Ricky but we will have medical on the 13th so we have the full 4 days that week just in case my kids will need an extra day more for medical (skin test result, etc.)

The notice letter from the embassy also arrived the day my fiancee called to schedule her interview. The embassy even said that beneficiaries DO NOT have to wait for the notice letter before calling( which don't make any sense...how do we know they have our application? we keep calling and get charge per minute?). -we can always call NVC to confirm the exact date they send our papers out then track its movement through DHL site or just wait one week from the date it was forwarded from NVC to USEM and then make a call. or we can wait for the notification letter and be delayed a week or two more before we can call... which means the earliest interview date available would have moved further.

They also instructed my fiancee to download and print the packets and forms online from their website. It means they stopped sending forms and packets to beneficiaries in the philippines.

Good Luck everyone!

Hi Ate Gaye! Thanks for the updated list. I noticed nga po Ricky ang name ng fiance nyo  But I'm pinoy po :innocent: I'll tell my fiancee to look for Ate Gaye at the embassy on May 21.hehe.

Ay ganon ba.. cge just tell her to look for me, i'd probably be the only one with 2kids in tow, girl and boy. My kids are big na, 10 & 8 (my 8 year old son is even bigger than his ate), and most people mistakenly think they are my siblings

here's me and my kids, di ba para lang kami magkapatid? pinagpipilitan talaga.. shhhhh, just don't tell my daughter coz she gets a little annoyed when people say i look like her ate and not her mama

Hello guys, did you fill up your machine validated DS157 after paying your visa application fee? It says we have to bring 2 copies of DS157 during interview, does it mean the machine validated copy we get from the bank would be the 2nd copy? I was thinking to fill up 2 copies and just leave the machine validated from the bank empty. but still I´d rather love to know any suggestions, it´s just kinda confusing... THANKS!:)

I forgot where i read it but somebody mentioned that if the bank would be ok to validate a prefilled DS 157 then it would be ok to just have them validate one of your prefilled copy... pero kung di daw, just bring 3 DS157 on your interview, the 2 copies which you will fill up online and also the copy that the bank wil give you.... pls read the K1 visa guide of sheriff uling baka don ko nabasa and there are also Q&A there, it will really be helpful.

please help.. I need to know who to call if i want to have my medical on the 21st...:) Thanks

Hi there,

I dont think you will need to call them if you want to have your early medical. In my appointment it says May 7, 2008 , but i will go for medical on April 21st. First week of May wont be good for me to go coz for sure i will have my period that week.

You just go to St. Lukes and bring the needed requirements..

hmmm if it not too much to ask, what should I bring for the interview? so i still need to bring affidavit of support since my husband already passed that to NVC?

Are you in Ir1/Cr1 route?

During the interview please check this link: Preparing for the VISA interview

hello :time: it will help us all and it will also help others answer your visa related questions without needing to repeatedly ask what type of visa you applied and when you submitted and got your approval, interview date, etc.

Just click "my assistant" then from the drop down menu choose "edit/add my timeline"

Thank you very much and God bless you always.
