Hey guys, how do you get a medical schedule? Please let me know how to do that.. :(

And also, how long until the DELBROS confirm? i have texted them that i paid the document verification fee but i dont receive any reply from them yet. The number i texted was 09175555313, is it correct?

Thanks guys..Please answer my confusions. Thank you all..

I'm still debating whether to pay delbros or not...

As for the medical: The embassy and even those call center people will only advise you to have your medical at least 1week prior to interview but I think you can just go to SLEC even a month or more in advance and have your medical as long as you have your appointment letter with you and all other requirements. You can just go there without calling but you can also call in advance if you want to.

"SMLCEC is located at 1177 J. Bocobo St., Ermita, Manila. They can be reached by telephone at 521-0020 and 521-8647. SLMCEC is open from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. It is best to arrive for your medical examination between 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m."

What should I bring to my medical examination?

  • Appointment letter (I was told that the confirmation email from the visa call center could be used)
  • Appropriate medical examination fees- ($182.65 for adults (15 years of age and older) and $154.65 for chldren (under 15 years of age)
  • Passport (valid for at least 6 months)
  • Two colored pictures (2 inches x 2 inches) with a white background
*SLMCEC does not accept dollar payments. The fees must be paid in Philippine pesos at the prevailing exchange rate.

Thank you dbears, that solve my confusions.. Oh, thats what im wondering also about the appointment letter. (i have read print from their main page, which i couldnt find) Anyway, thanks for informing me that email from them can be used. I have the email.

As for the document verification fee, i have paid it first, hehe.

I plan to have my medical 1st week of May.

And about the DS157 , did you really fill it by hand? (handwritten)

And lastly, about the DS156, it says at the instruction not to answer and leave blank the #3. question. Issuing country - Philippines ; State/province,_____

did you guys follow that instruction? Im confused whether to leave it blank (as what the instruction said) or answer it.

Sorry for this, im just really confused. I cant pay yet the DS 156 forms coz i cant finalize yet my answers to the forms (ds156 and ds157)

Thank you again guys..

And about the DS157 , did you really fill it by hand? (handwritten)-i'll be answering it online and printing it out. the same with all the other forms, filling it online then printing it out. 2copies each.

And lastly, about the DS156, it says at the instruction not to answer and leave blank the #3. question. Issuing country - Philippines ; State/province,_____

did you guys follow that instruction? Im confused whether to leave it blank (as what the instruction said) or answer it. - where did you read that instruction not to answer #3 on DS156? i'm not aware of that but I think the question pertains to our passport, the country issuing it. since we are philippine passport holder so it means our passport was issued by the philippine government.

#2 i believe, refers to the place and country where your passport was issued, eg. hongkong, UAE (for filipinos there who needs to renew philippine passport)

Sorry for this, im just really confused. I cant pay yet the DS 156 forms coz i cant finalize yet my answers to the forms (ds156 and ds157)- we all get confused from time to time... but you'll do fine... we will all do fine since we're almost there

Good luck to us all.hug2a.gif

Thank you again guys..

Im sorry for my typo error.. I meant number 2 and not number 3.. :)

It says: 3. Section 2 should only include the city of issuance for the passport. Do not select Philippines for place of issuance, and do not include State/Province. Leave these two fields blank.

Is this the appointment letter for medical or different appointment letter?

Hi, where did you get the email from?

whoever will be calling the USEM call center should provide the beneficiary/visa applicant's email address so they could email your interview appointment confirmation letter.

Is this the appointment letter for medical or different appointment letter?

We were told that I could just print that email out and show it to SLEC when i go there for my medical and also when I go to USEM for interview.

It has the necessary info already like: visa applicant's name, case number, interview appointment date and type of visa applied.

for those who are also applying for k2 or k4.. the letter will only show the principal applicant's name but they said that is good to go since k2 or k4 are derivatives of K1 or K3.

for medical schedule, they just advised to go to SLEC at least one week prior to interview and bring the necessary requirements, no need to call for SLEC appointment.

good luck everyone. hug2a.gif

Hello, Just curious guys, how many copies of BC and CENOMAR did/will you get from the NSO? How many might be required by the USEM?

Does BC also has specific validity like CENOMAR?

Hi,

cenomar just one, and for a bc (birth certificate) has no expiration. but some advised its best to present something new (like less than 2 mos. issued) during interview.

For applying passport they need the original bc, at least just request some extras for your future use.

As for me, i had requested 3 before and this March i had requested 2 since i will be having interview on May.

Good luck.

BC is valid for life but for interview purposes I have read somewhere here (posted the exact post or thread) that it will be best to have the newly ordered copies.

I will be ordering 1 CENOMAR and 5 copies of BC each for me and my 2 kids. USEM requies only 1 copy but we might be needing some more when we get to the US so daghanon nalang nako kuha. :)
