This latest F**K UP from USCIS has pushed me over the edge. I have been in contact with my Congressman from the beginning of this process, was told he would send an inquiry at anytime. Well, I have been patient and not wanting to use that inquiry to leap ahead people. We filed out I-130 Sept.21, so I have waited patiently for over 6 months. But, with this mornings rolling back the clock on us at the VSC was the last straw for me. I sent over the letter to his office and it was faxed to the VSC about 2 hours ago. If all holds true they are supposed to reply back to the Congressman's office in 48 hours. If any one is interested I will report back here when I get some news.

Daileydiver, as you have waited for over 6 months, I think you've got every right to pull your Congressman into this, and wish you every luck. Fingers crossed you'll get an approval in 48 hours to go with the reply.

We can all see it's just becoming ludicrous now .... the quiet little office that got a small percentage of the I-130's is now dropping so far behind, it's ridiculous. Yet, there are random (not first in first out ... not expedites, bar one) approvals which are throwing us all out of the loop.

Goodluck .... do let us know how you get on (F)

guys i caled USCIS

regarding the processing times..

THE LADY TOLD ME THAT THEY WENT BACK TO JULY FOR VSC B/C THEY HAD JULY APPLICATIONS THAT THEY SENT OUT RFE'S FOR, AND THAT NOW THEY ARE GETIN THOSE RFE'S BACK SO THEY ARE BACK ON THOSE APPLICATIONS...

WHICH SUCKS SHE BASICALY TOLD ME TO WAIT 6 MONTHS.. AND JUS WAIT...

:(

 How many RFE's cases did they have for July????? I wonder if the packets may have gotten damaged in the transfers from us to CSC and to lockbox then to VSC?? So now they are asking for information to complete them??? Otherwise it dosent sound very logical that they would have that many RFE's and go back in processing time. It's great.. that they are gonna process those that have waited longer than us.. but its disheartening too to not have any idea of when they will finish and move on!! :crying: ANY JULY FILERS GET RFE NOTICE?

hey kity i know what u mean.. i was so disheartened when she told me that.. i had my hopes up that we would be niext.. but lets not rely on them.. since we know K1s from feb 08 are being processed, and some 1130s from sept at vsc have been approved this week.. i think it was SKY2K, ALTOD, and WAITINFORk#, although they did not get their i129F approved just i130, but hey atleast some ppl from VERMONT got the approval notice.. so we can only rely on our friends here at VJ, and not USCIS..

i was realy sad and depressed but my husband told me dont beleive them, lets just monitor the approvals on visa journey, and keep each other posted....

so apparently i think they are in september... and not july, i dont know why they would roll bak that is not logical,

lets wait and see who gets approved next form vermont... have a good weekend, dont stress it... :(

http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pUr...RR7hdWQYg3KbwRg is the right spreadsheet to get a clear view of what VSC is up to.

Unfortunately, that spreadsheet is not a clear picture of what VSC is doing because it leaves out those who applied for I-129F in addition to their I-130 (which are probably a majority of married filers).

Not only that, some in August are still waiting for an NOA2,while some in November already have theres, and one sent in Feb. already has there NOA2!!!!!!!!WOW !!!!!.......

oh i get it ,the" clear picture" is.......USCIS is unclear.

It certainly leaves me baffled.

Hey all.......DAMN i did see uscis processing dates today......This is what I understood...they are going backwards into ancient times ....lol instead of going foarward to .......moon or mars

For I-130 at vermont is july 30 , 2007 means the last file that they received on that date is still pending for processing (god knows whose was it )means they processed everything before then they received prior to july 30, 2007....

If they post that way ...USCIS is in safe position .. they can defend from ppl complaints etc...NO Congressman calls.

MY advise for you all be patient and help each other.... :):P(F)

If you get a good answer from your congressman, please let us know. I sent an e-mail to their webmaster and doubt anyone will reply as I have done it a few times before. I totally agree that inconsistency with USCIS is making life even harder, like if they are playing with our emotions. It's already tough waiting to see our loved ones, but let's not make a game out of it!

Hey Chet,

I will let everyone know what happens with the Congressional Inquiry. By the way I sent an email over to the Congressman's office here in Tyler, got a standard automated reply to my inbox. The automated reply said that if is this a time senstive issue or you need help with a government agency you should call and speak with someone. So, of course I gave them a ring and was told to fax it over and they would send an inquiry to the VSC. Not sure of the 48 hour clock included weekends or not, would be nice! In reality I expect that I will here something from them late Monday or Tuesday.

Please do let us know. I had no idea about the 48 hour inquiry. I received a letter from my congressman saying that they normally take 30-45 days to respond to a congressman because there is a backlog with those responses as well. I asked my congressman to intervene on the 18th of March after they denied my expedite saying that losing our unborn child (and having the surgery alone) were not emergencies. There's something very wrong with this process. My husband and I are blindly moving through each day just in survival mode. We cannot move forward with much of anything until we are together. I wish you the best of luck with the inquiry. I'm anxious to hear if you get a response quickly. My congressman is quitting in June to work for a law firm (he was on his way out anyway) so if you get a fast response, I want to call his office again.

Just trying to muster the energy (and the money) to do this again.

If it helps any of you guys, our Congress dept were involved in our case at the beginning of this process, and contacted USCIS from day one as to the timeline we could possibly face ..... they replied in around 36 hours.

The answer was a 'fob off' (6 months visa in hand .... which is impossible now), but at least they did reply quickly.

Yes, I understand there is a 48 hour rule .... backlog is irrelevant as the 'Congressional' is dealt with by a separate department. Some Congress offices I guess are more 'switched on' than others.

It seems that Congressmen cannot force USCIS (from what I've seen on this site) to pull their finger out .... but they do show some form of 'heavy hand' behind you ... and at least your file will be pulled and perused in a separate room (I understand) from the other files, by those who are employed only to deal with Congress/Senate requests.

Once you've reached 6 months of waiting .... the weight of the 'heavy hand' (from what appears on this site), does seem to work, whether it's because they just want your file out of the way, or whatever, it doesn't matter.

Mohgli (I noticed) was approved very quickly once he started harrassing the Senate and the Vice President via their fax numbers  .... but he'd been waiting for 8 months I think.

The numbers for the Senate (who control immigration) are posted around on this site on a few threads (thanks to Delicia) .... and I truly believe there are a lot of you guys on here who every right to start sending your information to the 'big boys' .... medical emergencies .... past 6 months of waiting .... whatever the reason.

Goodluck .... and may your approvals actually start coming through .... FAST!!!!

I got of the phone with customer aggrivation a few moments ago and the reason told to me was because of the applications going back in fourth from CSC and VSC. I guess CSC just sent a bunch of July applications over there. Really does make me wonder if they did misplace a ton of applications in the whole backlog issue. But atleast CSC went from July 30th to September 5th in 1 month, for now >.> until VSC sends back those July applications  Dealing with USCIS is like dealing with slick talking street hustlers.

Yes Sept 5th but what happend to all july filers who are not approved like us?????? still pending

Your approval seems WAY overdue!!!! That is unbelievable. I see that you called recently, but I would call again on Monday. That's ridiculous. As soon as you get off the phone, I would fax your Senator and explain that you're well passed the due date to have things done. Good luck.

Contact Senator or Congress person, make sure you get the case workers name, dont leave voice mail, they dont pick up - after basically seven months you are entitled to get this thing going and most will do so.

They do have power, there is a special area of USCIS that only deals with the delay of timelines such as alot of us are going through -

Tis a bunch of bs from what I am seeing, how do you approve November and December filers and just toss away July and August and so forth -

Had it with them, they are so out of touch, its beyond belief. Thank god for the 48 hour rule and it does basically apply for just an answer. You get a good case worker, then you have hope.

Cheers
