Amber who sat on your arm? :D Did she even realize?

I'm sorry xD

seatguru :o Never heard of it. Awesome, thanks :)

I'm like...meh, I hate flying. I'm absolutely fine domestic, couldn't care less, but nah this is like...7 or 8 hours or something, DC to London.

I can't ever decide where to sit/what to do on planes :( On the one hand, I want to sit at the window because there I might could actually sleep, something to lean against. On the other, I NEVER pick a window seat because 1. I don't wanna be in that sad situation where you gotta go to the bathroom and you're like trapped in because the guy on the aisle is sleeping and you don't wanna wake him and oh I hate that :( and 2. if the plane starts going down and everyone's gonna die anyway I'm one of those people that knows where the exit is exactly and already has the escape route mapped out and sitting window is not going to help in that situation xD and 3. I superstitiously believe that if I pick an aisle seat early, if there ARE any seats empty on the plane, people are less likely to sit next to me because no one else wants to be blocked in, either.

I have had my own row a fair few times but I doubt it has anything to do with strategy xD My SO one time got an entire CABIN to himself. How does that even happen?

How do you guys feel about putting your seats back? I never will :( I want to but I feel SO guilty, because I'm totally screwing over the guy behind me, I feel like. I'll never touch that button. And then the dude in front of me puts his all the way back. And then it's so uncomfortable the whole way :( One time I had managed to fall asleep with my head down on the tray thing and the guy in front put his chair all the way back very abruptly and squishified the hell out of my head :(

I find myself getting angry when someone puts his seat back, like he is imposing on me, but then I remind myself that it is his right, I guess. I'm the same as you, though. If I move my seatback at all, it is only a tiny fraction so that when I fall asleep my head doesn't roll onto the shoulder of the person sitting next to me or flop forward.

Children on planes have so far not bothered me at all - there were a few babies and toddlers on the last flight I made, but they were proper little angels - not a squeak out of them! Years in the future I expect I'll be flying with young children, too - I just hope that they take to it as well as these children did.

The only bad passenger I've encountered (and he really wasn't too bad) was the drummer I sat next to on a flight to the US. I know he was a drummer because he had a thick wad of sheet music for the snare drum in his hand and instead of plugging his headphones into a mp3 player he plugged them into a rather audible electronic metronome. Then he practised playing the drum using his feet and by clicking his tongue. He kept this up for the entire 8 hours - quite impressive, I suppose. :P

I don't remember any noisy babies or children on my previous flights. And I hope mine won't be too annoying when we'll travel in a few years.

My mother watched a documentary on TV about a rather fat guy who needed to travel. The airplane company made him buy two seats because he would not fit in one. And then once in the plane, he realized he could not move the armrest between them.

I hate children.

I hate piss-poor parents worse.

Ban them all from planes, trains, movie theatres, restaurants, public, etc.......

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

Alex,

REALLY?!?!?!!

NONE??? that sounds terrible.. HOWEVER, I dont feel that my elite status means so much with NWA as it does with partners such as KLM, etc... I always comment that when i do my normal route from ind-dtw-ams-sto that i feel like i am abused till i see the KLM staff in bule. Regardless, having priority check in, seating, the upgrades i know makes travel more pleasant than for the non elite member. I guess it is not till gold or platinum that you really get the gold carpet.

KLM actually lost my luggage a few months ago when my wofe and I were working in Nairobi and managed to deliver my luggage and MONETARY COMPENSATION to where were working, IN THE SLUMS OF KWANGWARE!!!!

That is definately something!!

Yet, NWA would not deliver my lost luggage to my Manhattan apartment because we don't have a doorman.

Onmy last leg back from Thailand - Detroit to RDU.. after the long long flight I sat in front of this mother that has her child sit on her lap... she's not skinny either plsu the little one that's about 2-3 years old!! KICKING and CLIMING my seat all the same play with my hair!!! and i was soooo tired from my long long flight and the mother didnt do anything.. I feel like getting a revange by pushing the seat back but the good in me got in the way coa I know they are already trapped in that seat and I sat straight the whole flight with this kids giving me headache.

I dont really mind most of the time though...but dont start talking to me.

now when we fly we just request exit seat.. it's great!!

I've been more annoyed by the airlines themselves than anyone on the plane. 12 hour layover due to a complete inability to properly schedule pilots? Attendants who didn't even know how their own airport worked? Thanks, US Airways.

OH I had some serious pleasant experiences with US Airways myself...

I must be one of the lucky ones, children have never bothered me on a flight. Thankfully mine behave well, or I would do them in afterwards  I usually takes lots of things to occupy them, books, colouring books etc......in defense to the children who misbehave, they react to boredom and frustraion in a different way. There are times when I would love too scream in public! so leave the poor kids alone :crying:  and the anxious parents with them. There is nothing worse when a snooty moaner complains about a child crying, it's not like the parent wants that child to cry. :innocent:
