This is my first post so I am sorry if this question has been posted before, but I was unable to find much information in the forums. Is there a way to track your K1 visa package after you have received the NOA2? We received our NOA2 last Sunday via email (Easter Sunday of all things), and I will like to see if I can track it as it goes to the NVC and then to the Guangzhou consulate. Thank you for any information.

First you need to call the NVC to get a number that you can track.

There you will find their contact information. The number that you will get may be tracked through DHL.

You may want to try the lists given by a VJ member.

You can also email NVC and ask if they got your case already or if it has been sent to the consulate. If it's been forwarded to Guangzhou and they told you when, you can try tracking it at DHL. There's a trick in doing that and you may get lucky and see if the package is on its way or have been delivered.

call DOS 603 334 0700 during weekdays before midnight. You can about a week after you get your NOA2 notice to see if they got it and assigned a number

The number will start with GUZ

They can't track it at NVC but can tell you approximately wihen it left NVC to GUZ.

If you want to track it via DHL, of course this is an approximate because you can't know for sure which pouch it went in is go to DHL website

track through the reference

example, if they said they sent it out Today, you will type in the reference

EXP 26 MAR 2008B

Hit track and it will return the tracking if they sent it.

but it will take 2 to 3 months to clear customs so you'll have another 5 to 6 months before the interview.

good luck and :time: This will help others behind you and give the database something to work with.

good luck

When you call the NVC, they will ask your USCIS case number and beneficiary's name & date of birth. Then they will tell if they received your case. If so, they can give you the NVC case number. If it has already been shipped to the embassy, ask for the date it was shipped. They won't give you a tracking number but there is a way to "track it" on DHL. Once you know the date or approximate date they shipped it, you can check the DHL lists I put up daily to see if there was a shipment to China that day or the next.

Keep in mind: this does NOT guarantee that the package going to China on that particular day is yours. It's only an educated guess at best.

DHL lists: See here

but it will take 2 to 3 months to clear customs so you'll have another 5 to 6 months before the interview.

Is that accurate? 5-6 months after NOA2 to get an interview. Oh my god! I feel sorry for everybody going through the embassy in China, and wish you all a speedy process.
