Hello everyone,

I have a problem, on March 20, 2008, my fiance had his interview in Lagos, at which they told him it was approve. However, upon returning today he had to bring a copy of his son mother's death certificate and pictures of her homegoing, which he did. He wasn't issued his visa, but was given a letter stating.

"Dear Visa Applicant, We are returning your visa petition to the Department of Homeland Security office where it was approved with our recommendation that the petition be reviewed for possible revocation. Any futher inquires should be directed to that office. The reasons are as follows:

Evidence submitted indicated this is not a bonafide relationship and that the relationship is for immigration purpose only>'

When I call Homeland Security, this just tell me we need to wait 120 days. Has any one experience this, if so what did you have to do/

Diane

I don't understand this

You need to go here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3896

I would suggest posting in that thread and seeing what they can do for you.

All I know is you need to act fast to prevent it from being returned.

Good luck (F)

The thread Zee suggested will give you some clarity. You must act quick now. Contact a senator or congressman immediately and tell them

this is very urgent if they want to make you wait.

Ask them to request to overturn the return of the petition. At some embassies the petitions lay around for a few days to few weeks before they are returned and this is the time to act through your congressional aides.

Read everything in the thread and you can and pm Kiyah or Chiquita for more personal guidance. But you must act very quick, this is very serious.

If you can not overturn it you have to wait until the petition expires and then you may want to consider starting over or go with a K3.

I recommend a letter to VP Cheney as well, I know of a member who received a decent response through his office.

I am so sorry for this and hope and pray this will be overturned. It is horrendous that they approved and then denied you.
