So ESPN will show the games?

That's awesome, Luis really wants to watch. He came to Brasil and fell in love with soccer, now he's all into the World Cup, and even bought an official shirt (those super expensive ones) from the team. :P

I'll still be in Brasil during the World Cup so I am no worried at all, pretty much ALL channels will be transmitting the games. :P

What arses.... I hope that Rooney recovers.... personally I cannot stand Chelsea

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Arrived in Houston on October 29th 2006

Married 17th November 2006

Lost my father 8th January 2007 (all dates are a blur after this)

Conditional Green Card dated 24th October 2007

Received on 7th August 2009 in VT

Cricket is even more boring  The game lasts for 5 days and then ends undecided.

(disclaimer: I played it myself and it was funnn ;) )

I can't make head nor tail of cricket either

After the events of this weekend, I'm not feeling so hot on England's chances (thanks a lot Chelsea!)

I haven't seen anything to indicate that it was a cheap shot that broke Rooney's toe. However, Rooney was the one that cut open Terry's leg.

As I posted on another Website. England's race to win the World Cup may come up short by a foot.

Me either. I have to learn fast though because I promised that we'd try to make it out to the West Indies for the ICC Cricket World Cup. As far as I have been able to deduce so far is that there are two teams of large and usually fairly attractive young men wearing sweaters, sunglasses, floppy hats, and zinc oxide. There are these posts with a stick on top of them. One guy bounces the ball at 78999 mph at a guy with a flat bat that he rests against his foot and he smacks the ball at 10001 mph. Said batter then runs back and forth dragging his bat. They score around 32224 runs an inning and then they break for tea.
