Hi all- we just got the appointment letter yesterday, it came much sooner than we anticipated considering the date posted for indianapolis is September 2005 and they received ours in late Feb. 2006. We just keep cruising along!

Anyhow, at the time of our interview, i (USC) will have started a new job and be making enough $$ to be above the poverty level (finally). But I'll have only just started two weeks before the interview. Do I need to redo my whole I864? Obviously nothing will have changed on my tax returns (I submitted I864 using 2003, 2004, and 2005 taxes for myself and my co-sponsor).

Or should i just bring a pay stub and letter from my new employer?

i would bring the letter too, the more you have as support evidence the better, at least it wont hurt!

Are you the USC? If so, I would definately re-do the I-864 with your new wonderful circumstances and try to get your co-sponsor 'off the hook'. They may give your co-sponsor's affidavit back to you.

Thanks Rebeccajo, I think I'll take your suggestion...i know my parents don't mind co-sponsoring but it sure would be nice for them not to have to worry about contacting the gov't if they move or anything!

That's a good idea. You will need a new I-864, employment letter, and paystubs. I'm prettys sure that as long as you qualify on your own at the time of the interview, it won't matter that you'll have been at your job for only 2 weeks. Perhaps someone can comment on this.
