Take some SILENCE with that Morning coffee

I often tear up when learning more about the magnificence of God. I found some of these....

“We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature - trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence... We need silence to be able to touch souls.”

-Mother Teresa

“I asked God for strength that I might achieve. I was made weak that I might learn humbly to obey. I asked for health that I might do greater things. I was given infirmity that I might do better things. I asked for riches that I might be happy. I was given poverty that I might be wise. I asked for power that I might have the praise of men. I was given weakness that I might feel the need of God. I asked for all things that I might enjoy life. I was given life that I might enjoy all things. I got nothing that I asked for, but everything I hoped for. Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered. I am, among all men, most richly blessed.”

There are no accidents. God's just trying to remain anonymous.”

“God has editing rights over our prayers. He will... edit them, correct them, bring them in line with His will and then hand them back to us to be resubmitted.”

“When you say a situation or a person is hopeless, you are slamming the door in the face of God.”

Finally,

I placed a beautiful bookmark to cover a hole in my bedroom door. It is a old-fashioned house, the key hole has a small round hole and the slender picture of flowers on the bookmark cured it. On the back of the bookmark, I found this written on the back, which is truly wonderful:

LORD to tomorrow

And its needs

I do not pray;

Keep me, my God,

From stain of sin,

Just for today.

Now set a seal

Upon my lips,

For this I pray;

Keep me from wrong

Or idle words,

Just for today.

Let me be slow to do my will,

Prompt to obey,

And keep me, guide me, use me, Lord,

Just for today.

God or Allah, what you wish to call the Almighty, I wish everyone some peace of heart, at the best times and at the worst.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I love this thread, here are some other quotes!!!!!

I suppose leadership at one time meant muscles; but today it means getting along with people.
