Well, let's be blunt why do you choose to ridicule those who have asserted that white pride is merely a sanitised face of white supremacy? What do you hope to achieve?

I don't think anyone is justifying the Aryan Guards views but it also is not right that an equivalent black group would be simply brushed off. And in America it does happen because any Caucasian is made to feel guilty. Both directly and indirectly for the past.

but IS a group of black people celebrating overcoming racial injustice the same as a group of individuals fighting for supremacy over those same blacks???

It's unfortunate that we've gotten hung up on the words "white pride" than what that group stands for. They don't stand for "yay let's have a festie, dance around, and have some good food". Everyone in this thread knows that so I don't understand why they don't just come out and say they abhor what they stand for.

No one can make someone feel guilty. You either feel guilty because you feel some responsibility towards something, or you don't. Personally, I don't feel guilty for what has happened to African Americans in the past. However, I do feel disgusted that there are Caucasians who are prepared to dismiss the past and want the present to exist in isolation in order to escape from some inevitable conclusions that have to be drawn to explain the current circumstance of the average African American.

I have asked for evidence of groups that use white pride as a cultural concept. I have been given no evidence. What I have seen is people duck and dive and evade calling these groups out for what they are and what they stand for. At least mawilson had the decency to say white supremecy is disgusting. No one here has suggested that if one is white, one can't experience feelings of pride. What is wrong, is to feel pride at being white as an excuse to feeling superior. It's not a hard concept to grasp and it's not really hard to condem. However, some people would rather ridicule me personally than come out and say it, which is as I said, pathetic.

Another important distinction is that last I checked, black pride ideals don't express an anti-miscegenation position, which I'd say is significant.

You mean like Spike Lee, who says he delivers "visual daggers" when he sees interracial couples on the street?

It does seem a stretch to bemoan "society" for not being equal - with "pride" marches apparently being a prime example of why this is so. It might be me, but I don't imagine that simply doing away with presentation will do a lot to facilitate "equality" when there are established, underlying issues that preclude this.

White people were never marginalized in America. The achievements of white people were never minimized and swept under the rug.

That did happen to black people. Thus a black history month. To remind people, especially black people, of their unique contributions to American history.
