I have never seen it in the media, let alone all the time. Granted, I am not a huge TV consumer, but I would have thought if it was really widespread that I would have experienced at least a little of it and I have not. Please, I would like to see the evidence of all these 'black' Imus getting away with blatant racism.

ok, it may be silly, but what I'm saying is that whites DO celebrate the accomplishments of other whites. It is just more noticeable to have a Black history month, when the white celebrations are celebrated across the entire calendar. There is also Hispanic history month in September.

What white celebrations?

The only holidays I have are

New Year's Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas, as well as

Martin Luther King, Jr Day ("black") and Columbus Day ("white")

Seems pretty balanced to me.

columbus day may well fall into a brown category, since he was bankrolled by spain.

So then why are African Americans more likely to receive heavier prison sentences for equal crimes committed by white Americans?

As for the direct reference to Imus, well, he said it as a very ignorant and by communication, racist, comment.

I think Don Imus was attacked much in the same way I was attacked in the other thread. Where because his statement sounded racist people automatically assumed and labeled it as being racist. Sadly a growing attitude, in America, which opposes the basis of most free and developed societies. Opposes the constitution. It seems reasonable doubt no longer applies.

Look at what happened in the Duke Lacrosse case where these kids reputations was ruined yet no apology was given for the mistake. Jesse Jackson is first to condemn but last to apologize for his mistakes.
