What's your point? That I should not have posted this because I am not Italian and therefore should have no interest in politics outside of the country in which I reside?

Free speech baby - and right now my free speech says this. All in the best possible taste ;)

Well I got to tell you - that pretty much encapsulates your level of participation in any serious debate.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Admittedly that was a little rude, but no ruder than the post which preceded it and the attitude behind it.

OK you thought it was important, but what's Italy's track record for electing crooked politicians and what's the chances of the next guy being just as big a crook?

That's international politics. And it's relevant to not just Italians.

Change is good. Berlusconi was a crook and an overt racist. An ideological change of some sort is clearly needed.

Not to suggest that the EU is a paragon of virtue, far from.
