Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

It doesn't affect you, but it sure does have the potential to affect my in-laws and friends in Italy...not to mention that it lessens the uncertainty present in the Italian economy

For anyone who doesn't know about Italian politics, IT IS A DISASTER.

Honestly, I think he's the best leader Italy has had in many years, even though that doesn't say much. Italy is not the US, UK or Australia and politics don't function the same way-- The institution is not as fully democratic from the start with lingering effects of fascism and communism, but he's not the one threatening Italian democracy or justice. It's the attempts at coup d'etat via the judiciary, and the hysterical propaganda associated with that.

I wouldn't be running out into the street singing ALLELUIA because you have no idea what comes next. Nothing is quick in Italy--an Italy that needs LOTs of changes.

Perhaps - but surely you can't deny that Berlusconi is hideously corrupt?

BTW - its good for the US (or bad, depending on your POV) because Berlusconi, along with Tony Blair are Bush's last 'allies' in the EU.

I've heard stories of corruption at Mediaset that I almost couldn't believe -- ordinary employees being implicating in money-laundering schemes, adiscovering mysterious swiss bank accounts in their name that they didn't know existed.....
