Progress Report

Well everyone has been asking for updates on our visa too......so I called DOS Monday because our daily DHL alerts stopped on March 19th. When I got through to DOS they told me everything appears to be in order but to have Fiancee call embassy and check with them. Well of course there is no number to call and check witht ehn Embassy so I emailed them. After Two days the Embassy finally answered my email.

Bless him........ he got the exact same response both times. I told him no need to send another one until they answer the first one .

How long is that suppose to take? We still have not gotten any DHL alerts during this process. None at all since March 19th. We heard around 4 days for Officer's final review. But then Lynn says this is what she has been told for 4 weeks now. Looks like our wedding day is postponed....the groom is not going to make it by April 5th Luckily however, I had not really counted on it. I did not pay for the place yet...just in case. I will wait until visa is in hand for that. Well at least the security and name checks are completed.

Okay got to run for a min....Need to cook my daughter some breakfast and get ready for work. Have a great day everyone.

Best wishes Cheryl! I have no advice on the length of actual time for the officer's final review. Our interview was about two weeks ago and on Sunday I got an email stating two-three more weeks. I am praying for everybody that Cairo catches up and everybody is out of this miserableness.

Thanks everyone for the support and good wishes.......they are greatly appreciated.

Today is March 30th and we are still waiting with not even as much as an email DHL alert. It is really stressing me out. Our wedding was suppose to be next weekend. Now it will have to be postponed.

Everyday I hope for good news and every day I am disappointed. I am not sure how the ones who have been waiitng so long keep their sanity. The days run into weeks and the weeks into months which eventually run into years. It is so hard.

I am Happy for others who get theirs quickly and yet at the same time upset because We have not gotten ours. We have a strong case and no red flags. I have met his parents on both my trips to Egypt. I do not understand. Trying to figure it out makes me crazy.

I pray it will end soon. Take care everyone and thanks again for your support.
