On monday, just the day that I have planned to go to the driver license my car turns on the alarm and its didn't get off. The car is blocked and I don't know what to do???? I don't have the remote control, I only have the key. I don't know why it didn't recognize the key o what happen? I think that if I have the key the car must inactivate the alarm because it will identify that I'm the owner... I have tried some tricks like turn on the ignition for 2 minutes and left the alarm sound but it didn't work!! I'm deseperate! I don't wanna buy another remote control and neither spend more money for reprogram the alarm (like 30-600 dlls). I would cut the wire of the alarm but I don't know if it will be a good choice because the alarm won't work more...

Any help o experience with it???

thank you.

Well..what kind of car is it? Have you disconnected the battery? Have another key? Is it a factory alarm? How did the alarm set (and then go off) if you don't have the remote?

I think that it isn't the factory alarm because the manual doesn't mention anything related with the alarm. I only have a key for open the car's door. When I opened the door with the key it started to sound I don't know how or why the alarm turned on?? I have 7 months with the car and it didn't do it before. I thought that the alarm didn't work but now I know the true  I already disconnected the battery but when I conected it again (after 24 hours) the alarms continue making noise. I'm getting crazy with it... it was 3 days ago and I cannot use my car. I cannot move it :crying::angry:

Ugh - I have had the alarm on my 2003 Elantra go off if I have used the remote to lock the door from the outside and then forget to use the remote to unlock the door. I need to use the remote to relock the door to turn off the alarm and then to unlock it with the remote. There have been times driving when the car automatically locks the doors on its own - I haven't told it to - and when I go to open the door, the alarm sounds. I need to use the remote to turn it off. It sounds like your car might have done something like that on its own, too.

I think you are going to need the remote so that it recognizes you are not an illegal entry. Can your dealership supply you with one? I know it is pretty costly but I don't know what else to suggest.

Yeah.. its look like I have to buy a control... Or I will go to the electrical to cut the wires... I don't know wich choice is cheaper... but I know that the fact is that I cannot stay without using my car

I was thinking something like cut the claxon wires but I'm not sure if they go togheter with the alarm's wires, some idea??

what will be the risk?? I afraid that if I cut the wires the engine will remain locked NOOOOO!!!

Just cutting wires to the klaxon will not cure the problem. By locked I take it you mean it has an engine immobilizer if so that will remain stopping the engine from starting.

Alarms on modern vehicles are not something to tamper with unless you know what you are doing.

You're right!! I don't wanna do that the problem will get worse that at the begining... It's incredible! It has passed 5 days and I cannot get any possibility to resolve the problem. Any other suggestion will be very appreciated.
