Hi All,

i had been on a securty check wait for more than 2 years, and after having my CR-1 interview all i was told is to wait for the security check to clear.

After almost a year of the interview, two F,B,I agents show up at my wifes door asking her questions about me and looking for me in her place, in the US.

Now i really found this akward, is this part of checking if our merraige is genuine, or did they think i was in the country unlegaly or what?

Did anyone experience such an event?

:wow: OH ####!!!

What country are you from? They thought you might be at her place? Are you supposed to be at her place??

Are you sure they were FBI or USCIS?

I read some of your other posts. Waiting 2 years is insane. Maybe give us an idea why they might be checking you out so hard?

Did anyone think to ask the two agents why they were there?

(FBI is not in the charge of validating marriages - If they were indeed FBI, they were likely there for some other reason.)

So my wife was sure that they were...that is how they identified them selves.

I am from the middle east (Though dual national with a european country), and the whole questioning was about who she knew and who i knew...and that she isn't doing the right thing pretty much...So that kinda questioning.

I am not suppose to be in the US and neither where i after applying and running my papers...but where ever i am i use my VOIP (Voice Over IP) with a US number, is that i reason to belive that i was in the country?

Should i take my long wait and frustration with a grain of salt because of from where i come now? :bonk:

And here is what i have done to move my case:

-Contacted the Dept. of State (visa office)

-Senator

-Sent letters through my lawyer to the processing embassy

-requested F,B,I fingerprint clearing (more than 8 months now an no response)

You sound a bit fishy to me Mr Bonefish..

Your VJ profile is just all blanks and you are non-commital about where you are now and which countries you are dual national of etc etc

Seems you are hiding a lot - perhaps you have a lot to hide

A duckin' and a diving ain't the way to handle the government

Are you sure you haven't had camping holidays in the tora bora ? eh ? eh ?

If you are all above board then your wife should say where you are and that you are open to taking phone calls or visitors

Instead, it seems like you are 'everywhere and nowhere baby - that's where your at'

If you are genuine then come out of the shadows, and if you are not then I for one have zero sympathy and the Feds have my approval

Thanks for your input Alan, i agree with that my story is strange...but that doesn't make me a diver right away.

Since no one could give me an estimate of when i could expect my visa, i didn't want to turn down a scholarship opportunity i was given for Spain.

Anyways, you pointed out my profile and i agree, i have added the details i have on hand if this helps in assessing my situation.

Otherwise i would appriciate all coming comments

I can see from looking at your profile what has sparked the FBI enquiry in a more detailed form then is perhaps normal. It should resolve itself if everything is normal, but unfortunately will take time.
