That sounds like a plan to me because I won't be cooking this weekend either. I've got way too many things to do. So we'll start this weekend and go through Friday then? The new ingredient will be announced on Friday for the following week?

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

Sounds perfect!

I am thinking of making my "world famous" chicken BBQ pizza tonight... does that count??

You have "world famous" recipes like me too then huh? hehehe

I'd say yes, that counts and it would be cool if as many as possible of the dishes for the week could have piccies included.

I nixed the chicken bbq pizza idea.. we our going to have sausage and bell pepper pizza instead... but I most likely will be making something with chicken in the next couple of days.... we eat a lot of chicken around here :P

and I am going to use these garnitas that I found at the 99 cent only store as the crust..

Seems like I am the first one :)

OK, here we go:

2372353756_fe3da5151b.jpg

I chopped sage and mixed it with olive oil. Then I loosened the skin from the chicken (all around) and rubbed the sage/oil mix directly on the meat.

Too much light in Mom's kitchen...a shame really, it looked beautiful. Organic chicken, with chopped sage/olive oil under it's skin, stuffed with lemons and sage on sweet potatoes, red onions and lime (yesterday's quails were a test run!). The meat was juicy and the sage gave it a beautiful flavour.

Fennel with lemon juice and olive oil, steamed in a tin foil parcel in the oven for 30 minutes

It was a beautiful dish. I had made some bok choi in a tin foil parcel as well, but we were not too impressed and chucked it out.

looks yummy julie. my grandparents are coming over for lunch tomorrow so I'm going to make the chicken then. only problem is they like things quite bland so I might have to alter the recipe a bit or else they won't eat it. they don't even like the super unseasoned herb roasted chickens you can get at the grocery store! they say they are too herby. old peeps!

Omg it's still body shaped I can't handle that.

I hate when my meat still resembles an animal :'(

But if you were to debone it and deskin it for me I bet it'd taste awesome

Man I went to Wal Mart today and got me some dumbbells (Walmart's evil yeh yeh...they have a 3-set of dumbbells on sale for ten bucks just now here, anyway, if anybody needs :o). At the checkout bit where the rotisserie chickens are they had TURKEY DRUMSTICKS OMG!!! :o I was so tempted I totally should have got one. Looked amazing. Just walk around the parking lot gnawing a huge leg, that's just too cool for me xD

I didn't take pictures of my chicken. But it was breast tenderloin with curry, cinammon and coconut. I also made a basic salad, lettuce tomato and onion. I wasn't in the mood to spend too much time int the kitchen and that took me like 20 min.
