I made this last night.

Aloo gobhi matar (Potatoes, cauliflower, and peas with Indian spices)

Also has red onion and cumin seeds. Cilantro on top.

Naan bread on the side and some mint chutney. (naan and chutney store bought...)

oooh, nice one Christina! YUM!

but you mean you don't have a tandoori oven in the kitchen for your naan bread.... tut, tut.

We did chicken the first week and seafood the second, not everyone did scallops.

Whatever is fine with me though. I never DID do potatoes this week...

I didn't do potatoes either. I haven't cooked at all this week. We've been eating sandwiches around 8 every night. Whatever is fine with me next week. I think we need to stick with more precise ingredients instead of making it so broad. Like with seafood we just said seafood so we each used a different ingredient. If we stick with more precise ingredients we'll have more options for more recipes. If we keep being so broad we're gonna run out of ideas more quickly. We could do garlic because lots of stuff has garlic in it so that'll still give us each options.

ok here's the updated list so far of what we've done (I looked at the entire thread, let me know if I missed anything)

* chicken

* scallops/seafood (we can count as a seafood week, since lots of people made other seafood dish, not scallops)

* pasta

* squash

* dessert

* red meat

* potato

* ?

so suggestions for this week since chicken and fish were done already. I agree booty, we should specify, cuz red meat, seafood, dessert, pasta they are too broad.

I basically put onions in everything... lol

I should have taken a pic of what I made yesterday.. I guess it would have counted for an onion dish.. I was going to make stir fried rice and I was going to add some vegies like Italian squash, onions and celery but my hubby kind of turned his nose up at me adding the squash so I just stir fried the vegies by themselves and added a bit of salt, pepper and garlic powder... mmm, it was good... I have never made that before...
