I noticed in the recipe for the crust, they say to use oil, but there isn't any butter. Here in France there's always butter in crusts and in most of the cakes. Is it a cultural difference (butter in French recipes, no butter in American ones) or is it only this recipe that is special?

yeah most pie crusts call for butter or shortening.. this recipe is just special i guess.. maybe because you don't have to roll it out....

So... I wanted to bake a lemon-orange cake, but I think there was too many eggs in the recipe I got. I left it in the oven an hour and a half and the inside was still kinda liquid, or sticky... I tasted it and it tasted eggs. So no cake for me

I'm buying ground beef and making my own hamburger patties. I mix lots of spices to the ground beef and garlic and onion, it's very yummy. Maybe we should do a red meat week.

I'm in for red meat. I haven't had any lately so it'll be a nice change. Javi just asked last night if we had any steaks. I'm not sure if I'll do steaks or hamburgers. I also mix all kinds of spices and things with my ground beef. It makes for some tasty burgers.
