I was thinking the same thing!

So, Amber, what would be the fish of choice? You have me curious, they sound tasty.

Are "fish tacos" some kind of euphemism?

I used tilapia because that's what I had but a lot of places I've had them with mahi-mahi. My friend owns a place called the tin fish and they have salmon ones. Not really my thing. I like them grilled because they are less calories but the battered and fried ones are good also.

I was thinking grilled salmon myself. The other suggestions sound tasty too!

Should be a saltwater fish... mahi mahi sounds awesome... I've had Parrot fish, Red Snapper (the best), Cod, and Grouper tacos at home. I think some Whitefish, Shark, and Tuna are next...

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

I'm sorry spoil the fun, but I'm mexican and there are not such thing called "Fish Tacos" across the border. With across the border, I mean the real Mexico not the border towns like TJ, Juarez, Laredo etc etc, which try to attract tourists with the "traditional" tequila, corona, mariachi, sombrero, tacos and the three amigos.

This mentioned, dont worry! if you like them and are delicious we are IN, dinner invitations welcomed... ^_^

Really ? The real Mexican restaurants here have them.I've never had them because the idea of a fish taco just sounds so weird to me.

same here but hubby insists that they are good.. I got this image in my head of what a fish taco might be but then the ones I have seen around here use a battered type fish and it actually looks pretty good...

"Fish Tacos" are an abomination and must be eradicated at all costs.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

i love fish tacos. grilled or battered. battered with just shredded lettuce or cabbage, diced tomato or pico de gallo, diced onion, cilantro, and a creamy sauce made from sour cream. and a lime wedge to squeeze on it!

grilled i would just marinate the fish in lime juice, garlic, whatever you like. then grill it and top it with the same stuff from above without the creamy sauce for a healthier version.

yum! OH and hot sauce! :D
