Just keeping everyone informed about our case..................for those who are interested..........

Here's the latest message from the Cairo Embassy today:

Dear Madam:

Thank you for your e-mail message.

The administrative processing has been completed. However, the case is pending the officer's final review. Once that has been completed we will process the case to conclusion.

Lynne...I hope this is almost over for you and I am sure that you are aggravated with this process. Your time is coming soon and I am praying for you. Thank you for the update on your case as you have been in my thoughts.

I got the following email on Sunday and it is similar to yours but doesn't speak of AP. When I call DOS they tell me that we do not know if he is on name checks or security clearance until the moment the consular hits the button for the visa to be issued. She said so far everything looks good but nothing has been done with our case. But here is what I found out and if you have any suggestions for me please let me know:

Dear Madam,

Thank you for your email message.

The case is currently pending final review for issuance. The process may take from 2 -3 weeks.

Thanks for everyone's thoughts and prayers always..........I just keep trying to not think about it too much

and as you can see that's impossible!!!

Anyway, I don't know what your message means exactly.......it sounds like what the interviewer said

to Ahmed after the interview. For the 4 times I emailed the Embassy, they have said it was in final review by the officer.

The DOS has said "security checks, name checks, AP, looking good, it's up to the officer, should be any day now,

could be 4 months or more up to a year, can't tell you anymore".

In other words, there is no way to tell what is happening really.

Ahmed has a friend who got his K-1 Visa last week after waiting 7 months from the interview.

He said that when they were told it was in the officer's final review, it took another 3 to 4 months.

Sooooooooooooooooooooo.............who knows? It's nebulous making you feel rebellious.........hehe. :bonk:

For what it's worth, of the 6 months that we were on AP we never did once get that e mail

saying " Final Review", so maybe there is truth to their words.

Anyway, Im still praying for you, Lynn. Cairo seems to be moving so much faster lately.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Lynn i pray that you all will get the visa soon... keep the faith :star:

Passage Revelation 19:11:

11And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

"satan is real and he's playing for keeps
God is realer and we are His sheep
which side are you on, CHOOSE, start moving your feet
choose JESUS and have ETERNAL PEACE" by GOD to me on 9/26/10 about 2am
Thank you Jesus!!!!
