K3 approval question

Hi all,

I am waiting for our K-3 visa to get approved and the latest MSC report shows that it is processing apps with Dec 16th date posted on Jan 24th. My receipt date on NOA1 was Dec 22nd. Interestingly, I reviewed my status online today and it seems my app. was last updated on Dec 30th, but no adjustment in status - STILL NOT APPROVED. What does this mean? Since 10 days have cleared since 24th Jan, I called the hotline and they said to wait as well- no additional color. Does anyone know what is going on and why the update in date but delay in approval? Anything I can follow up on or specific questions I should ask next time I call. Hope it gets approved fast~!

Thanks in advance for all your help.

You are misreading the processing times. MSC is working on I-129Fs with NOA1 date on or before December 16, 2005. That status was last updated on January 24, 2006. You are still 6 days behind the Dec 16 date. They update the processing times every two weeks and the last update was Jan 24.

The fact that your case was last updated on Dec 30th is meaningless. They go by the NOA1 date, not when the petition was last looked at.

But don't worry. You will probably be approved within the next two weeks.
