Hi everyone I had my interview March 12th, and I didnt have all the needed documents like my court paper from a shoplifting charge that happend almost 15yrs ago. It was a chore trying to get it since i had a conditional discharge the local court house didnt have anything on file. I have been trying to get it since last summer, finally they found out it was in Toronto and would request it. The paper came in the day i left for Montreal thats my luck so i didnt have it with me for the interview. I explained what the charge was and everything. The Women that interview me seem to think it would not be a problem but she needed the court records. She issued me a 221g requesting the court paper for prior arrest, and said to send it in as soon as i got it and I asked if i was to also send in my passports with the needed paper, She said i could.

I trying to stay possitive and believe she was being nice and honest and not just saying that.

So anyways my question is how long do they usually take to let you know whether it was enough and if you will get the approval. This whole process i've been ok with the waiting, but this waiting now is driving me crazzy.

Danielle

I'd give them a few weeks. Someone else from Canada had a similar issue with missing or needed documents and I think she/he had to hound them after a couple of weeks, at which time they issued the visa. Then another week to send it....

Sorry you're having to wait! Email them or call them if it's more than 2 weeks I'd say.
