I just took Luz to her first day of work. Already I am missing her. It seems so weird to be alone after having her here every day. Oh well, she was as giddy as a school girl about her new job and knowing that she is happy about it makes it easier to take. She is working days the rest of this week for training and then next week she starts working 2nd shift to match my hours. At least it's only 3 days but the house sure is empty without her! Good luck baby!!!!

She always let me have the remote anyway unless Bad Girls is on. I just find something else to do when that is on.

Let her know how much you've missed her this week! I'm sure she'll appreciate that. It will be nice when you're both on the same shift though. I'm sure she'll have many stories to tell you about her first week! I also think she's probably missing you too.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

I agree, she will become loved at her new job in no time. Congrats, Luz!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Yay for Luz!! I'm glad she is so excited- I hope she loves her new job!

It's a pretty good job really. It's a plastic factory and she will be a machine operator. Not bad pay either, $9.50/hour starting. She worked in a plastic factory in PI so the job is one she has experience with.

Congrats, Luz. I hope you love your job.

Gary, learn to enjoy it while you have it. I went from missing Andre when he was at work, to enjoying the time alone and relishing the fleeting peace and quiet. I do find myself sitting on the back porch when I am expecting him to pull in the drive, though.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip
