THE PACKET AND THE VISA HAS SOME MISTAKES

Please I need someone to help me to understand what is going on

First you need to know that the embassy is doing a lot of unorganized mistakes

the last of them is that they sent me my visa which is K 3 but with the old passport number writtin on the visa instead of the new one ( they have both since three years)

after the embassy promised me that they will correct the visa they suddenly sent me an email saying that they will need some administrative processing

when I tried to talk to the lady on the phone she tried to explain (strictly and briefly) that they will issue a new visa and cancel taht one

she refused to give me any time fram or any details where the procedures will held

It scares me to hear any "admin. processing" cause I went through name check for two years and then cleared and every time I was asking them they were using the same word ADMIN . Process.

also I went through waivers I 601 and I 212 two years ago in Greece Athens

all kind of procedures have been done on me and now it is their mistake and I will pay the price again for God knows how much time

Please if there is anyone can explain to me or has the same experience before please your comments will be appreciated.

Write (not call) to your senator. I am not sure if this is good advice, but write to your senator. Explain everything and give timelines. They will unclog it for you speedily (or faster than if you wait for "ADMIN")

first they forgot a document out of the packet which comes with the K 3 visa

then they forgot a document I think a petition at Greece Athens during the waiver time

then they asked me for new medical report and police clearance

then they sent the visa with the old passport number

then they promised to correct the visa and all of sudden

they send me an email saying

Dear Sir:

We regret to inform you that the case needed further administrative processing. We will process the case to conclusion once that has been completed.

but they refused to tell me how it happen in the embassy or should I need to the documents to travel to US again and she did not give me any time frame

I have been reading a lot of posted messages on this forum and I see some of the applicants who've faced situations like yours have called their congressmen or senators and have had the situation move faster. If you have already written to your congressman (or senator am not sure which) then make follow-up calls and hound them until you see something positive happening. Do not dispair, keep trying.

the senator himself who told me that the visa is issued in December 2007

then they told him that they forgot a petition in Greece

then they asked me to repeat the medical report and police clearance along with the application for the third time during the processing

it took them 5 weeks to receive it and I was mad so I wrote them that they consumed Jan, Feb and most of Marh out of my visa which issued in Jan first.

then they forgot a document out of the packet which comes with the K 3 visa

then they sent the visa with the old passport number

but what kills me now the tone change from correcting the visa to say that the case need further admin. processing and they will issue me a new visa.

I feel that I need to ask someone knows that situation. I contacted the senators and the congressman and one of them told me that he will contact them, but the thing is the otehr senator who has been told that the visa is issued by them, I feel that this is the best one to contact right now, I sent him many times to have an answer but he did not answer me.

I went through every thing in this case, waivers, name check, that only consume two years and half that is why I am so irritated when I hear that they need any admin. processing. I had enough

by the way I thought that there are otehr poeple on this forum are experienced to help me but I feel now that I am the first one to go through this situation like the visa reissuance or that kind of adming processing.

I really need help to be able to sleep
