We arrived in Ohio with no problems at our POE in Chicago. Now just the wait for the SSN and green card and we have a 21 month break from all the paperwork. It certainly isn't warm here yet, but my wife is enjoying the coldest temps she has ever experienced.

First trip 01-17-07

Married 02-05-07

What Service Center was filed at? Nebraska transferred to California

Provide dates for the following:

I-130 sent (Mailed)..........................3-12-07

1st NOA (Receipt Notice) .................3-29-07

2nd NOA (Approval Notice) e-mail.....6-15-07

Bill for I-864 processing fee rcd and sent..7-24-07

I-864 Packet Received......................8-18-07

I-864 Mailed to NV............................8-20-07

Bill for DS-230 received....................8-29-07

Payment for DS-230 sent..................8-30-07

DS-230 Packet received..................10-25-07

DS-230 Packet sent to NVC..............10-29-07

Case Completed..............................11-16-07

Case Forwarded to Embassy.............11-30-07

December 7th----NOA2 online

December 14-----NOA2 Hard Copy

December 21-----NVC recieved

December 28-----NVC send to US embassy in Ethiopia

January 8---------US embassy in Ethiopia will recieve

January 11--------Packet 3

February 7 -------Interview

February 7 -------Passed interview

February 12------VISA in hand

February 22------IN the USA

March 1-----------Wedding

March 15----------Sent AOS

July 7 -------------Finger Print

January 27, 2009--Green card approved without interview. It took almost one year though.

Feb 2 -------------Got the green card in the mail

Next: playing the waiting game for the 2 years holding removal

Very glad your here in the US now.. Just to inform you..make sure you go to the SS office and ask for your Social Security card because even though we marked on our DS forms for the USCIS to send us one they never summitted for a card to be sent to us. We didn't learn this until we visited the SS office ourselves.. Keep that in mind. Ok.. :thumbs:

CONGRATS! :dance::dance: WELCOME TO THE US AND ENJOY BEING TOGETHER. IF YOUR SSN WILL NOT ARRIVE IN 3-4WEEKS, YOU MAY HAVE TO GO TO THE NEAREST SS OFFICE AND APPLY FOR ONE. SOMETIMES USCIS DON'T SUBMIT AND FORWARD THIS INFO EVEN IF YOU CHECKED THAT PART ON THE DS-230 FORMS, AND YOU MAY BE WAITING FOR NOTHING TO ARRIVE IN YOUR MAIL. :blush: GOD BLESS.

K-1/K-2 AOS APPROVED IN ATLANTA MAY 17, 2006

10 year GC Approved - APRIL 16th ,2009 - Peggy and Jonathan's......

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.
