27. Make jokes. If you're not naturally funny, go on the internet and read some jokes, and then tell them to him.

28. Tell him you're the best wife ever and compliment yourself on certain things you know you're good at.

oh yeah, he knows that

34. Tell your husband you love him, many, many times.

I do I do :P

35. Have a race with your husband and let him win, even if you are much fitter and stronger than him.

muahahah

36. Keep fit and take care of your health so you will remain a strong mother, wife, cook and housekeeper, inshaAllah you will not get FAT and frumpy.

37. Refine and cultivate good mannerisms i.e do not whine, don't laugh or talk too loud or walk like an elephant.

38. Do not leave the house without his permission and certainly not without his knowledge.

41. The way to a man's heart is through his stomach.

i doubt his stomach is between his legs.

59. If you pack a lunch for your husband to take to work, from time to time

sneak in a little love note or sweet poem. If he doesn't take a lunch, leave the note somewhere else for him to find, like in his briefcase, or wallet or on the car steering-wheel

oh I'll stick a note: u better bring this tupperware back and clean.

About #38...

it is an ayat (verse) in the quran that speaks about a woman leaving the house without permission.

In actuality, it is the same in any marriage, except most people don't come out and say it bluntly or think of it that way.

But would you go all day without telling your husband where you were? Would you leave the house if your husband asked you not to (and he's providing everything)? Basically, no muslim man who loves his wife would even tell her to stay home all day anyway because he knows that she is not a toy but his wife who has feelings and goals just like he does.

I wonder why these two items are sore subjects for you. Considering that most married woman (muslim or not) think its their job to do these things anyway.

38. Do not leave the house without his permission and certainly not without his knowledge.

If Neil asked you to stay home, would you simply say"to hell with you! I'm outta here". Yeah right. It's about loving your spouse and respecting each other's wishes. Maybe he has a good reason to keep you safe that day. Who knows.

39. Make sure all his clothes are clean and pressed so he is always looking fresh and crisp.

Are you telling me that as a wife, you don't think it's your job to keep your husband looking good? Well dayum, nowadays WHAT exactly IS a wife?? I may be wrong, but a man can legally go to JAIL for abandoning his wife and not financially caring for his wife....but your saying that a woman should not be obligated to wash & press a SHIRT??

Come onnnnnnnn.....

Is this what we women have become? :girlwerewolf2xn:

I do not iron. He's cool with that. The deal is when both husband and wife have to work it isnt fair to put all the house duites on the woman. Most men know and are sensitive to this. I dont feel obligated to wash a shirt because I am going to be sharing the financial load. To say what we women have become?.. is a little extreme We women have become WORKING mothers and wives for the most part. When he can take care of the family solely, then it will be MY JOB to keep the house/clothes whatever. :) I understand your point of view is geared towards the house wife..

I replied earlier and said that the replies may get interesting lol I see they have lol

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

I don't iron. I specifically buy clothing that doesn't need to be ironed. Neil does his own laundry and mine 95% of the time. Why is it my job to keep my husband looking good if it's my job to brush my hair and "smell good" every day too? Who feels OBLIGATED to wash & press a shirt? #######!!!!!!!

If Neil asked me to stay home and I really wanted to go I'd just go. Why the hell would he ask me to stay home if I wanted to do something? He is free to come with me wherever I go.

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.

The thread is on fire! lol

Anyway, I'm not a house wife, but I think it's not an issue to do these things for my husband.

As a side note, my hubby does the following things for me:

Washes me from head to toe in the shower (and he LOVES to do it).

Does my feminine hygiene for me (not going into detail, but let's just say I don't ever get cut. hehehe)

Draws henna tattoo's on my body just so I can have cute designs where I can't reach

Shampoo and braids my hair and he even knows how to give me cute curls

Cooks for me when I am tired (no, I don't ask him to do it)

Fans me in my sleep when I am hot

Reads to me at night in the bed

Holds my hand every time we go out (even though his culture is not very affectionate in public)

Knows the exact day of my menses and makes sure to give me lots of fruit beforehand to curb any pains

I could go on and on....

But in a nutshell, the 60 items don't even COMPARE to what I would do for my husband.

Nuff said.

60/60 here

 You better not be wearing your pajamas or sweats...

We're getting ready to have a race down the hallway and I'm gonna let him win.

We're gonna do that as soon as I finish getting jokes from the internet to recite and try to pass off as my own.

Neil and I always have races. I let him win all the time. Food eating, foot races, arm wrestling. You name it I let him win. He beats me when I don't let him win or my jokes aren't funny...but it's just a "tap".
