Guys,

Can a couple apply for marriage license out of state of residence? We are considering to get married in Hawaii, although we reside in Ohio. On top of that, would my fiancee be able to travel to Hawaii on K1 visa??? Please only respond if you are positive.

Thank you for your time.

Eugene.

The last I checked people do not need a visa to travel directly from state to state...

Check the licensing laws in Hawaii to see what they require and what waiting period if any they have.

YES  I don't think all those spur of the moment weddings in Las Vegas are all between Nevada residents only.

Hawaii is a STATE, travel too and from there is DOMESTIC, just like flying from Ohio to Indiana.

If you leave the territory of the USA she will not be allowed entry.... There is absolutely nothing you can do to allow for a marriage to a K-1 visa holder that occurs outside the USA.

YMMV
