VERMONT Service Ceter, any K3 approvals?

We at VSC are aware of the fact that CSC has been putting the I-130 and I-129F together and are confused as to why VSC have been cancelling the K3 .... that's why I researched the visa, and as I said it was developed for the spouse to come to the US while waiting for the CR1/IR1 number to come up ..... so I guess VSC are technically reading that as the K3 application becomes defunct when the I-130 is approved.

As far the CR1 processing taking longer at the consulates, I guess VSC doesn't give a flying ####### about that

Sarah, you might be right technically. But that still doesn't explain the different treatment between Vermont and California.

Plus, when you look at earlier timelines from Vermont, it seems that in an earlier days they also have been approving both the petitions together for a while, and have then held back the I-130 while the I-129F was sent forward, in line with a USCIS directive of end of 2006 (that pushbrk has posted the link to in another thread).

So i'm wondering why that particular Center has changed its policy (if they really have, next weeks/months should clarify that with new approvals).

Plus USCIS processing is only part of the visa program. Choosing immigrant visa can add time in NVC (although that seems to be shortening, thank god) and Consulate.

I still want the K-3 visa dammit LOL

The discrepancy Catt is totally wrong, I agree, and it was the reason I never sent my I-129F petition in. Do we know if anyone has actually questioned it with the lawmakers ?

It's quite terrible that we're all getting a double bum deal out of this .... like I always say, a Mass Tort Lawyer could make a fortune out of this particular situation

Better still, the service centres should take notice of the Ombudsman who suggest they process the I-130 when it arrives through the door .... quick approvals and money saved on storage etc
