At NVC

I finally got through to an operator at NVC yesterday. As I expected, our case was not there yet. She stated that it normally takes at least two weeks, but obviously it is often quicker since some people around here have gotten it there in a week.

I asked her about the email address that some have recommended in lieu of calling. She told me that it was best to simply call because cases are flying through NVC so quickly that by the time someone gets to your email, the case will likely be gone to the embassy.

Things are looking up folks.

From my short time on VJ, I have seen a few exceptions to the USCIS Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) such as a petition getting approved in less than two months. Our group had 3 K3 applicants get their I-130 approved and sent to the NVC. One member, with an I-130 approval, had their K3 approved and forwarded a couple of months later after being told it was administratively closed.
