This is normal, USCIS sends only the I-129F, they will hold the I-130 for later use when you adjust status from the K-3, they do not run both through NVC anymore.

The decision to go K-3 or CR-1 needs to be made BEFORE you send off the I-129F, it is one or the other NOT both.

Awesome. It's good to see that CSC is not taking forever to get petitions to NVC and that they forwarding the I-129F instead of the I-130. Did it just arrive at NVC today?

YuAndDan, A lot of us were still a little worried because a few people approved in February only got their I-130 approved and forwarded. Despite the additional AOS costs and employment restrictions, some of us still want K-3s. It's good to see that USCIS stopped that arbitrary practice.

Well. Two weeks to get to NVC isn't bad. If they really get it sent to the embassy in five days, it is conceivable that it could take a month from NOA2 to the embassy. Great news.

YuAndDan,

Unfortunately it's not that normal yet.

According to this post today, they are still sending both approved petitions to NVC.

"Yet" in this context is a very relative term. The policy has been in place since November 2006 but it took them a few months to get consistent in following it. They then followed it consistently for several months until a recent seemingly random series of reported NOA2's that say both are being forwarded. We really don't know if anybody got both forwarded or if some people simply got NOA2's with the wrong wording.

Personally, I'd like to greater consistency so that proper planning can be arranged.

It creates confusion and inconvenience when a policy states one thing and employees act another.

So far three have gotten both approved today.

1 states 130 is retained.

2 state both getting sent to NVC.

I think we need an English and Math teacher to define relativity.

I've got a letter stating that the NVC has processed my I-129F AND I have a case number for my I-130 so the USCIS really did forward both of my petitions in my case.

I think we need an English and Math teacher to define relativity.

I see badspellor confirms two case numbers. Agarcia only says both notices indicate forwarding but not confirmation of NVC receipt. "I got notices from both. They both say they are both being forwarded to NVC. "

1 is a good sign but not enough for a conclusion these days.

As for "yet" being relative, I think its clear I mean relative to the time frame during which one has observed a thing. During the past 18 months this has gone from maybe soon, to definitely now, to maybe, to not yet and todays "maybe now".
