I am so confused  Today I saw that my EAD and AP applications were touched.. so I called to USCIS asking them what does it mean and lady told me that applications are still in Missouri ... and as soon as she said this I got lost...

please explain me again:

1- AOS is sent to Chicago

2- Chicago transfers everything to Missouri

3- Missouri transfers only I131 and I765 to CSC??? what happens to I485???

4-.... totally confused...

Timeline

1 ) YES (I-485/I-765 AND I-131) are sent together to Chicago.

2 ) Yes (Chicago is Missouri's (NBC) mail processing center)

3 ) NO Misoori (NBC works on I-131 and I-765) They will send I-485 to your field office for AOS interview, OR they may send it to California for adjudication and approval without an interview, (If the adjudicator in California decides an interview is needed, they will send it back to NBC and then it will be sent to field office)

Starting a name check, adding the check results to the file, the exact adjudicating process is anyone's guess.

Ok, I think first touch is just looking to see if everything's complete.

Then after the biometrics, I think the touch is to add the biometrics data and place the AP and EAD on a waiting list.

Naturalization

Son's N-400 Timeline

08/14/2020 - Sent N-400 and I-912 waiver to TX lockbox

09/17/2021 - Interview - decision cannot be made

11/24/2021 - Denial letter, 30 days to appeal

12/24/2021 - Appeal sent back with I-912 waiver

I thought too... but my I131 and I765 were touched before biometrics... I am sorry again for my questions :( If it would be only I485 I would think they transfered my I485 to CSC, but they didn't touch I485??? only I131 and I765 - applications are never to be sent to CSC... that what confused me a little bit ;) anyway thank you for reply ;)
